Véronique Perrin
 
Véronique Perrin was born in 1957 in France. She studied classics, modern French literature, and modern Japanese literature at the University of Paris IV, and at the École Normale Supérieure. From 1982 to 2000 she taught French at Osaka University and Waseda University. Perrin translated short stories by Atsushi Nakajima, as well as Yoshikichi Furui's novel White-haired Melody. She received the Noma Prize for the Translation of Japanese Literature in 1991, for her translation of Yoshikichi Furui's Yoko, and the Konishi Translation Prize, for Saint, by the same author, in 2002.
