Kappa Senoh
 
Kappa Senoh (1930-) was a graphic designer before making a debut as a stage designer in 1954. He learnt the necessary knowledge and skill to become a stage designer by himself and has received various awards including Kinokuniya Theatre Awards in the field of theatre. His essays whose titles start with Kappa Peeps at with finely detailed illustrations drawn by the essayist himself have become a popular series. This novel about his own childhood, titled Shonen H (A Boy Called H), sold over three million copies in two volumes.
