Devrim Çetin Güven was born in Bolu, Turkey, in1977. He received his BA in the Ankara University Oriental Languages and Literatures Department, and his MA in the University of Tokyo Language and Information Sciences Department. Currently, he is a PhD candidate in the same department majoring in modern Japanese literature. He also teaches courses on Turkish language and culture in the Keio University. He co-translated Kojin Karatani's Origins of Modern Japanese Literature into Turkish.
