Jacques Lévy
 
Jacques Lévy was born in 1953, spending much of his childhood in Hanoi, Kyoto, and Hong Kong. He studied Japanese and literature at the University of Paris VII and currently teaches in the Department of French Literature at Meiji Gakuin University. His translations include: Bedtime Eyes by Yamada Eimi ; The Cape, Paean, and Miracle (17th Noma Award for Translation of Japanese Literature, 2009) by Nakagami Kenji ; and Individual Projection (Konishizaidan Award for Translation of Japanese Literature, 2002) by Abe Kazushige.
