Maiko Fujimoto studied French at the language school attached to Sorbonne University and the University of Grenoble. She started working as a media/industrial translator, an interpreter, and an editor in 1999, and became an independent industrial translator/interpreter in 2002. She has been living in France since 1995 and a member of the France Translators' Association (SFT).
