Ekaterina Tarasova
 
Ekaterina Tarasova was born in Moscow. In 1992 she graduated from the Moscow State University, philological faculty, where she majored in the Japanese language and structural and applied linguistics. Then she came to Japan as an exchange student and worked in the Institute of Oriental Studies of Russian Academy of Sciences, language department, as a scientific researcher and a member of the automatic translation team developing the computer translation system from Japanese into Russian. Since 1992 she has worked as a translator and interpreter. Her translated works include Yumezukai, Suisei no junin and other titles by Masahiko Shimada.
