Jean-Marc Weiss, born in 1954, began his translating Japanese into French at the age of nineteen. Since graduating from INALCO, where he majored in Japanese translation and interpretation, he has translated nearly 100,000 pages of Japanese into French and vice versa. For more than twenty years he has run a translation company. He translated Mariko Koike's A Capella for JLPP.
