Rika Yokomori (1963~) was born in Yamanashi. After studying graphic design at Tama Art University, she started writing film reviews and column essays about trends. While her two-year stay in New York, she started writing a novel and made her debut with New York Night Trip in 1992. In 1994, she published Bogichin (Tokyo Tango), which she represented Japan's bubble economy, and stole the scene.
