Rieko Matsuura
 
Rieko Matsuura (1958-) was born in Ehime. She won the Bungakukai Prize for New Writers, for Sogi no Hi (The Day of the Funeral), which she wrote while at the university. In 1994, she won the Women's Literary Prize, for Oyayubi P no Shugyo Jidai (The Apprenticeship of Big Toe P).
