Taichi Yamada
 
Taichi Yamada (1934~) was born in Tokyo. He is Japan's leading TV scriptwriter. When he finished studying Japanese literature at Waseda University in 1958, he joined a motion picture company, Shochiku, worked as an assistant director to Keisuke Kinoshita. In 1965, he resigned from the company to be a TV scriptwriter, and produced a series of hits. He is also active in writing novels.
